From the Najran Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Election Committee

Based on the decision of the Minister of Commerce No. (87) dated 22/03/1444 AH, to form a committee to supervise the elections of the members of the Board of Directors for the next session (1444 - 1448 AH), it was decided:
Opening the door for candidacy for membership
For a period of fifteen days starting from Sunday 27/03/1444 AH corresponding to October 23, 2022 AD until the end of the working day on Sunday 12/04/1444 AH corresponding to 06/11/2022 AD, for those who meet the following conditions and controls:
1. The candidate should have an experience of not less than (ten) years in practicing business related to commercial activities, and not less than (five) years if he holds a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
2. That his registration in the Commercial Register is valid for at least the last three years prior to his candidacy, and that he has paid his subscriptions to the Chamber.
3. He must not have been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude or dishonesty, unless he has been rehabilitated.
4. Not to be a member of the board of directors of another chamber.
5. The candidates should not have one of his relatives (fathers, mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers, even if they are higher, and children and their children, if they are lower).
6. To submit an acknowledgment of commitment to the goals and objectives of membership, and not to commit crimes or statutory violations that prejudice his eligibility for membership, and not to give priority to his personal interest over the public interest, and not to raise problems that lead to disruption of the institutional work of the Board of Directors.
Taking into account the following:
1. It is not permissible for more than one candidate to be nominated from every single commercial establishment.
2. It is not permissible to run for more than two consecutive terms, and membership is considered a full term if its term exceeds two years.
3. The candidate must be registered in the commercial register (main or subsidiary) within the chamber's constituency, and has paid his contributions regularly for the election year and the three years preceding it.
4. The candidate should not be one of the chamber's employees.
5. In the event that there are relatives of candidates, the comparison between them shall be according to the following criteria:
                  A - The priority of registration in the commercial register. b- Academic qualification.
  C - The number of years of regular payment of subscription to the Chamber. D - the priority of candidacy.
7. The owner of the institution, its manager, the chairman of the board of directors, the chairman of the board of directors of the company or one of its members, or the director of the company shall be nominated for membership, bearing in mind that he is the manager of the institution, the company, a member of the board of directors, or a member of the board of directors of the company A period of no less than one year has passed since he has been registered in the Commercial Register, with an approval letter issued by the owner of the institution or company stating the name and position of the candidate, and certified by the Chamber.
8. The candidate submits a declaration certified by the Chamber that he has never been convicted of a crime involving dishonesty or dishonesty, and that he has experience and knowledge of doing business related to commercial activities and includes a statement of the parties he worked with, the work he practiced, memberships, committees, work teams, seminars and events in which he participated.
9. A non-Saudi may run for membership in the Chamber's Board of Directors when the conditions and controls for membership are met.
10. Fill out the candidacy application.
11. Attach all relevant documents.
