Reference to the letter of the Union of Saudi Chambers No. 45508386/3, dated 03/29/1446 AH, referring to the Union’s letter to receive the Ministry of Commerce’s letter No. (9718), dated 2/26/1446 AH (attached), and referring to what was received by the Ministry from His Excellency the Secretary of the Application Follow-up Team. According to the technical specifications and regulations of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization dated 9/18/2024 AD, which included that in the Authority’s Board of Directors meeting No. (201) dated 6/27/2024 AD, the update to Standard Specification No. (2971,2024 SASO) was approved.For trucks towing and transporting vehicles included in the technical regulations for special-use vehicle equipment and supplies (attached), and since this regulation was published in the Official Gazette and the Authority’s website on 8/23/2024 AD and will enter into force and mandatory application after (180 days from the date of publication).
