May the peace, blessings, and mercy of God be upon you,,,

Reference to the letter of the Union of Saudi Chambers No. 45104517 in which it is indicated that the Union received the letter from the General Authority of Ports No. (4216/70/31/1) dated 9/25/1445 AH. This includes emphasizing the continuity of providing the Authority’s work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and during periods of official vacations and holidays. Accordingly, the Authority notes the following:

1- Emphasis on all operators of cargo handling stations in ports and marine service operators to continue providing all work and all operational services, maintaining handling rates and the time period for docking and departing ships, and complying with and adhering to working hours 24 hours a day, seven days a week and during official holidays and holidays.

2- Emphasizing all shipping agents’ compliance and commitment to issuing and delivering delivery permits within 24 hours.

3- Emphasizing all shipping agents’ compliance and adherence to working hours to receive and deliver containers at the agent’s yard/warehouse 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and during official and holiday holidays.

4- Emphasis on shipping agents to provide 24-hour communication channels to facilitate the re-delivery of containers and issuing approvals for their return, whether to the storage yards contracted by the shipping agent or the terminal operator’s yard at the port, as well as to respond to inquiries from customers and beneficiaries. 

Therefore, we hope you know that public holidays and holidays are included in the calculation of storage fees for imported or exported goods and are not excluded by the Authority.
