In reference to the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (44101815) dated (30/04/1444 AH), which indicates that the Federation received the letter of the General Authority of Ports No. (1/31/70/11139) dated (26/04/1444AH), which includes the Authority's circular No. (18) of 2022 Regarding the provision of means of transport for general and bulk cargo, and this comes in order to ensure the smooth operational processes for handling general and bulk cargo ships and not to interrupt operations or decrease unloading rates in ports, and the Authority confirms the following:
1. The obligation of all shipping agents who own goods to provide means of transport for general and bulk cargo upon the arrival of their ships and request their berth.
2. The obligation of all shipping agents to notify the ships of their agency to maintain the stowage plan for general and bulk cargo, and not to store anything that hinders the opening of the holds during unloading operations as soon as they are docked.
The Authority will take all regulatory measures to maintain the flow of operations in the port and not affect the provision of service to the beneficiaries of the berths from other ships, in addition to calculating the period of suspension of operations in accordance with the port services fees and charges system and its amendments .
