Reference to the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (43103976) dated (16/9/1443 AH), which indicates that the Federation received the letter of the Ministry of Commerce No. (18199) on (4/9/1443 AH), in which reference is made to the letter of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization No. (5480) ) dated (20/8/1443 AH), in which reference is made to the adoption of the update of the mandatory Saudi standard specification for (IECEE National Recognition Certificate for Lighting Products as follows:

The news of its approval was published in Umm Al-Qura newspaper on August 20, 2021 AD, provided that they are adhered to after six months from the date of publication. Update to date (9/22/2022 AD), with the need to submit an undertaking stating that the SASO will be provided with a test report issued by a laboratory acceptable to the SASO that includes the product’s fulfillment of the requirements of Annex R set out in SASO IEC 60598-1:2021 or Provide a certificate and test report according to the updated specifications before the date indicated above.
