Reference to the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (43102770) dated (06/27/1443 AH) that the union received the letter of the General Authority for Ports No. (1/2/60/14783) dated 06/23/1443 AH, in which reference is made to the circular issued by the authority No. ( 31) for the year 2021 AD (attached), which includes that as of 03/01/2022 AD, all owners of goods must use orders (pallets) to compulsorily stow the goods entering the Kingdom through containers, with the exception of some goods described in the circular referred to above. Despite the importance of the importers’ commitment to the procedures for loading commercial goods safely and soundly using appropriate shipping orders upon import, the authority would like to note that it was decided to postpone work on its content so that the authority will study the economic impact of its obligatory application in accordance with the developments and challenges facing the global shipping movement.
