Reference to the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (43501269) dated (27/3/1443 AH), which indicates the union’s intention to hold a workshop in cooperation with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, as well as the Saudi Automobile Club Company SATA, entitled “Introducing the TIR system for international road transport of goods to facilitate international trade.” “Whereas the Saudi Automobile Club SATA Company, which is a member of the International Road Transport Federation, has signed an agreement with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority to activate the customs agreement for the international transport of goods under TIR international transport cards 1975 AD, so that the company will be the guarantor and issuer of TIR cards in the Kingdom, and given that this agreement It supports the development of Saudi exports and freight transport companies, by transferring Saudi exports to tankers that operate in accordance with the requirements of the TIR system, which has several advantages, the most important of which is reducing the time period and costs by not repeating customs procedures at customs ports in transit countries.
Therefore, we will inform you about this for information and briefing, and to register for the workshop referred to above, which will be held on Monday (9/4/1443 AH) corresponding to (15/11/2021 AD) at one o’clock in the afternoon in the auditorium of Mr. Saad bin Muhammad Al-Mujil (theater) at the headquarters of the Union.
