Reference to the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (42104588) and the date (4/12/1442 AH), which indicates that the union received the letter of the Ministry of Commerce No. (58861), dated (11/27/1442 AH), in which reference is made to the letter of His Excellency the Deputy Governor for Conformity and Operations in the Saudi Standards Organization and Measurements and Quality No. (7047) dated (11/11/1442 AH), which includes the meeting of the Authority’s Board of Directors No. (170) and dated (7/21/1442 AH), and to update the technical regulation for electric vehicles No. (M.A - 162-17-04). - 03) Accordingly, this regulation was published in the Official Gazette on (12/9/1442 AH) and it entered into force on 12/3/1442 AH.
Therefore, we inform you of the need to obtain a certificate of conformity for these vehicles from the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization.
