Referring to letter No. 45518998/3 from the Federation of Saudi Chambers dated 09/03/1446 AH (1996 AH), which states that the Federation received letter No. 38361/2 from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) dated 08/25/1446 AH (1996 AH). This letter, issued by the SFDA, reflects the SFDA's oversight role over imported products to ensure their safety and compliance with the SFDA's requirements and approved technical regulations. This is also intended to facilitate and expedite the process of completing shipment clearance procedures and inspecting them at importers' warehouses whenever necessary. The SFDA expects importers of products subject to its oversight to:
· Follow up on the status of shipments based on information received from the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority.
· Expedite communication with the SFDA to complete shipment procedures, especially those referred for inspection at the importer's warehouse.
· Emphasize compliance with the terms and conditions of clearance and the necessary documents required to complete the procedures.
Provide the Authority with all contact information for those responsible for clearance, as well as the location of the warehouses, by sending it to the Clearance Governance Department's email (ps.cps@sfda.gov.sa). The information should include the following:
Name of the establishment, Commercial registration number, Name of the clearance official, Contact number, Email address, Warehouse location, Website link (coordinates).
