Respected Members of the Najran Chamber

May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.

Referring to letter No. 45521816/12 from the Federation of Saudi Chambers dated 10/12/1446 AH, which states that the Federation received an urgent telegram from the Ministry of Commerce No. (31824) dated 10/10/1446 AH, which refers to the official letter from the Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization No. (3715) dated 10/4/1446 AH, which refers to Saudi Standard Specification No. (2864/2022) for the Saudi Standard for Fuel Economy (SAUDI CAF) for light vehicles added to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (2024-2028 AD), which is not included in Clause No. (6-1-1-2) stating, "Vehicle manufacturers must submit their vehicle supply plan for each upcoming implementation cycle to the Ministry of Commerce at least (3) months prior to the start of the cycle." Clause (6-1-1-5) of the specification also states, "If a vehicle manufacturer fails to submit a supply plan within the permitted timeframe, the vehicle manufacturer will not be permitted to supply vehicles to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia until the supply plan is submitted for review and approval by the Ministry of Commerce (or any entity it authorizes, such as the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center or the Fuel Economy Committee). The vehicle manufacturer will be responsible for any delays in its commercial activities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia." The Ministry reports that (21) vehicle manufacturers have not submitted their supply plans for the year 2025 within the specified timeframe.
